Private Chef

A private family in Miami, Florida is seeking a talented, self-directed Private Chef to join an established culinary program as the second of two lead chefs. This is a true co-ownership role not a supporting position with shared responsibility alongside a highly talented, low-ego chef. A sous chef is on property several days a week, with housekeeping support for evening clean-up.

The culinary program is rooted in active nutrition and longevity-focused eating, with specific dietary protocols for the adults and family-friendly meals for three children. Precision, quality, and intention are at the heart of this kitchen. The schedule is consistent lunch and dinner daily, kitchen wrapped by 7pm, most days. This is a rotational four-consecutive-day-per-week role, approximately 16 days per month. Travel with the family is required and can be planned in advance.

Responsibilities

• Co-own and manage the culinary program alongside the lead chef, with shared responsibility for menu planning, execution, and kitchen operations
• Prepare daily lunch for the principals and plated dinner for the full family
• Develop daily healthy menus, including macro tracking and longevity-focused protocols
• Source groceries, manage pantry organization, and oversee ingredient procurement
• Collaborate with household team members on meal service and clean-up
• Travel with the principals as needed to prepare and deliver meals on location
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited culinary school required
• Minimum 5 years of private chef experience yacht experience welcomed
• Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in Michelin-starred restaurants or luxury hospitality
• Strong knowledge of plant-based, vegan, and longevity-focused cooking required
• Comfortable working within a structured macro and nutrition protocol
• Low ego, collaborative, and team-oriented a true partner mentality is essential
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed
• Local to the Miami area is ideal but the position is open to candidates nationwide
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to undergo a thorough background check
• Strong professional references required

Compensation: $200,000-$235,000+ base salary plus strong benefits package.
