Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, ranging from children to the elderly, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that encompass immediate needs as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver focused speech therapy interventions targeting various aspects including communication, language abilities, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
  • Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to build comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to enhance progress and support outside the clinical space.
  • Perform occasional evaluations and interventions in inpatient settings, ensuring smooth transitions through treatment phases.
  • Keep comprehensive and timely records in accordance with all regulatory guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous education to stay abreast with innovations in speech-language pathology.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not been obtained yet.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be attained within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.
  • Outstanding communication skills for interactions with patients, family members, and healthcare teams.
