Job Description

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team for a temporary remote role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $28 to $35 per hour.

• Process full-cycle biweekly payroll for both exempt and nonexempt employees, including regular payroll and off-cycle runs.
• Conduct payroll audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Handle payroll for approximately 1000 US employees.
• Understand and manage multi-state payroll, with a specific focus on California payroll.
• Assist with processing garnishments and general benefits deductions.
• Cooperate with different departments to enhance payroll service performance.

• HS Diploma required, Associate's/Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
• 4-5+ years of payroll experience or in a similar role
• Recent experience with UKG Pro (HRIS and payroll processing) is a must
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions. (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables) and accounting software's with UKG Workforce Management is a plus

• Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations, especially for multi-state operations.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Great Attention to detail and organizational skills.
